Donaldson等人 (2009) 研究亦指出,ANL對APHAB (abbreviated profile of hearing aid benefit)問卷分數分別具39.6%及33.4%之預測力。因此,若人工電子耳植入者,同時作ANL及BKB-SIN (Bamford-Kowal-Bench sentences in noise)測驗,對APHAB問卷分數可以有73%之預測力,而APHAB問卷可以顯示出人工電子耳植入者其接收性溝通之能力。故ANL和BKB-SIN測驗對人工電子耳植入者其接收性溝通之能力有73%之預測力。
人工電子耳配戴效益及接收性溝通之能力評估方式,有客觀及主觀,客觀方式有準則數據可以參照,但仍有些部分不足。 例如:1) 無法得知人工電子耳植入者主觀對人工電子耳配戴之感受及效益。2) 雖然客觀評估方式可使用許多種類噪音,但仍 難以模擬實際吵雜情境。3) 語音聽辨測驗是於隔音室內執行,只能反映安靜情境表現,並不能反映真實情況。4) 客觀評估方 式,如噪音背景辨識語音測驗(speech perception in noise test, SPIN)、噪音下語音聽辨測試 (hearing in noise test , INT)測驗過程耗時,受試者必須能維持長時間之專注力。根據以上原因,評估人工電子耳效益時,需要主觀方式來作搭配,才可以更全面。
